INVITATION TO BID

The Town of Weaverville, Department of Public Works is accepting proposals from vendors wishing to submit bids to furnish the following vehicles/equipment:

One (1) Each - Self Contained Leaf Vacuum with Hook Lift Frame,

delivered to Weaverville Public Works, 15 Quarry Rd. Weaverville, N.C. 28787

Individual sealed bids shall be received at the Public Works Department, 15 Quarry Road, Weaverville, NC until 2:00 p.m. local time, Monday, December 7, 2009, at which time and place bids will be opened and read aloud.

Bidders to submit a complete and fully executed bid document.

Bids submitted by mail shall be marked “Sealed Bid - Public Works Leaf Vacuum - Bid No. PW09-04”.   Note that this facility has afternoon mail delivery. Bids submitted by mail should allow for Friday (December 4) delivery.

Bids shipped via carriers which require use of their own freight envelope (e.g. FedEx) shall be placed in a separate sealed envelope marked “Sealed Bid - Public Works Leaf Vacuum - Bid No. PW09-04” inside the carrier's envelope to insure that bids are not opened by mistake prior to the time of bid opening.

Said Sailed Bids shall be delivered to the Department at 15 Quarry Road, Weaverville, NC 28787.

The Town of Weaverville, reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive all informalities.
