Sanitation Division

The Sanitation Department is responsible for the collection of solid waste, including collection of household trash and yard waste. Solid waste collection is available only for waste generated within the Town limits.

The Town of Weaverville collects trash once per week. The Town is divided into three collection areas. Collection begins on Monday and ends on Wednesday. Call the Public Works Department  (828) 645-0606 with your street address to determine your schedule. In order to be collected, the trash must be curbside by 8:00 a.m. on your collection day. Collection may be affected due to inclement weather so please call Public Works at (828) 645-0606 to verify schedule. 

HOLIDAY SCHEDULE for 2013 

  Tuesday January 1st, New Years Day route will be collected on Friday January 4

  Monday January 21st, Martin Luther King Day will be collected on Thursday January 24th 

  Monday May 27th, Memorial Day will be collected on Thursday May 30th

  Monday September 2nd, Labor Day will be collected Thursday September 5th 

  Tuesday December 24th, Christmas Eve will be collected Thursday December 26th

  Wednesday  December 25th, Christmas Day will be collected Friday December 27th
